EMR DICTATION TRANSCRIPTION INTEGRATION

HL7 Integration Ready:

iSource’s Secure Online Medical Records Archiving System is enabled with HL7 Interface Messenger. The secure system has been interfacing with EMRs/EHRs/ PACSs via a secure pipe to exchange HL7 messages.

The HL7 Interface Messenger receives patient demographic info and patient radiology order info whilst it sends transcribed report to the EMRs/EHRs/PACSs.

This secure system helps doctors to get their dictations transcribed right into their EMRs’ patient chart without actually giving access to their EMRs/EHRs/PACSs to our medical transcription service. The patient charts are generated in just 12 hours, which helps hospitals, individual practitioners, radiology centers to be good at patient care.

How it works?

Seamless exchange of data in a secure pipe, which resulted in error-free quick chart preparation:

iSource's Secure Online Medical Records Archiving System exchanges ADT, ORM & ORU HL7 messages with EMRs/EHRs/PACSs via a secure pipe seamlessly. Following is the protocol,

STEP 1: ADT à iSource receives patient demographic information from the EMRs/EHRs/PACS in the form of ADT HL7 Messages.

STEP 2: ORM à iSource receives patient visit information and radiology order information from EMRs/EHRs/PACS in the form of ORM HL7 Messages.

STEP 3: ORU à Within 12 hours, iSource sends back the transcribed report along with the received patient demographic info, patient visit info and radiology order to the EMRs/EHRs/PACSs.

STEP 4: The doctors in hospital reviews & e-signs the transcribed reports right from their EMRs/EHRs/PACSs itself.

Complimentary EMR/EHR Chart Processing Service: (Non-HL7 Patient Chart Preparation)

dictation right into the patient chart of hospitals’ EMRs/EHRs. iSource does have expertise that have been working in 40 different EMRs/EHRs to get the Medical Transcription & Medical Billing processes done.

Once again, iSource’s clients are happy as they are getting the EMR/EHR chart preparation service as a complimentary and within 12 hours too.

Browser-based EMR/EHR:

iSource’s clients have given access to their Brower-based EMR by assigning limited access login credentials. iSource’s Browser-based EMR/EHR  Transcription team logs into the EMR/EHR and post the transcribed reports right into the patient the chart.

Server-based EMR – Via RDP and VPN:

Many of iSource’s hospital clients are using Server-based EMR. iSource got in touch with the hospitals’ IT Managers and worked along with them to setup limited access RDPs and VPNs to access hospitals’ EMR.

  • Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP): RDP system allows iSource to remote into the hospitals’ EMR to transcribe the dictations right into the patient chart. This process is done within 12 hours as iSource remote into the EMR after 1:00 AM EDT (mid-night).
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN): iSource has installed many EMRs in its server and mapped its IP Address to its Clients’ server via VPN. This allows iSource’s Server-based EMR Transcription team to access its Clients’ EMR from its end to post the transcribed reports into the patient chart. The data is transferred to Clients’ server via VPN. Once again, the dictations are transcribed and posted into the EMR in just 12 hours.
